Bernstein: Those modelstied -vids aren't working anymore, they are deleted. Is it possible to change filenames before uploading to RS?

@Janus Part 3 also in some hours. BTW part two is a slightly lower resolution, not fuzzy. But it is as good as it is on the DVD. This series was released on VHS in 2000. So the DVD is also a VHS-Rip I think. Will look around for a better copy with some friends.

I have also had problems unpacking rar-files with the same error-message.
It seems to come when I had a very short interrupt in the process.
When I try to unrar it again, then it goes fine.
Another problem can occur if there is a interrupt in the file transfer, then the downloaded file has a wrong size and I must download it once more.
Btw - I use RapGet with great succes.

I missed all files since 17.9 - it seems that all files have disappeared very fast this time. ;^(

Sorry for updating you so late.
To say it short, it still doesn't work. But I'had downloaded Ivy Manor #2 (dial up)and had no problems to view (by the way great movie thanks a lot). I think you're right one file is corrupted while downloading ( but I'd checked their sizes 001 - 011 49.152.000 Bytes and 012 38,401,134 bytes); so I tried again. And downloaded part 012;011;010;009 (this part two times)but now the other parts are withdrawn on rapidshare (also the dial up parts do). The only thing I didn't try was your Winrar3.51 I use WinRar 3.61(German version)and 7-zip but still doesn't work. All 12 parts have the size of 579.073.134 Bytes but when I join it the size is only 344.064.000 Bytes. And I checked no double parts it goes from 001 to 012. So I still don't know where the problem is. I hope you can understand my terrible English.

I am just watch the second part of Ivy Manor. Great stuff! But...the quality. The vid looks fuzzy(say so?). Maybe you can rip the video(s) in better quality? Please. The Series are so super.

The 12 BB parts approx 200 people on this board have downloaded but not one complain.

After Big Sis told me of your message I did the whole thing by myself with zero errors.

Hmmmmm....unexpected end of file.

It is a local problem, & we need to troubleshoot.

1. Make sure all 12 parts are in the same directory when you join with HJSplit. Also make sure there are no other HJSplit files also in the same folder.(just a test)

2. The index of an AVI is at its end. I think the last file may have got corrupted while downloading.

Verify the size as 38,401,134 bytes. (right click = properties = actual file size)

Please re-download this last part and try again. (even if the size is same)

3. Try using the same WinRAR, ours.

If nothing works, we will upload again, the whole movie for you, any way that suites you better. :-)

It is always our commitment that any single person, who downloads a movie from us, MUST have fun! EVERYthing MUST go smooth. So we triple test before posting a word.

First of all I love your activity and many thanks for it! But I have one issue. I had downloaded Ivy Manor #1 broadband (all 12 parts) and join it with hjsplit. Hjsplit says "joining complete" but then I use Winrar and it says "unexpected end of file". So what can I do to see this movie?

Series Review : Arguably the best series to ever be released by Gwen Media. An excellent primer for those wishing for a primer for things beyond the Vanilla world. I chose MP4 because it can be viewed on the Macintosh and Windows. MP4 files can be easily used in iTunes and the iPod, whereas avi, wmp, and rm cannot.

I (usually) upload complete, self-contained segments because you can download and view a scene you are interested in quickly and easily. You do not have to worry about whether or not a section of a split file has been corrupted.

Since I (usually) provide a preview for each movie section I post, you have a very good chance of deciding whether you want to download a particular segment. We aren't dealing with movie classics here. This is porn! Take what you like and ignore the rest! :-)

Given the reasons listed above, you can see why I am not interested in joining files. If you want to see a sequence of videos, set up a playlist and play them end to end.

A good, cross-platform video player is VLC.

Having same problem as Janus - vid plays until about 23:30 then video freezes (but elapsed time continues to advance).

Using Media Player Classic with K-Lite codecs.

Several people are posting movies in mp4 format.
I don't know why as wmv, mpeg, avi, rm etc... are satisfactory for everybody but I respect their choice. personnaly, the 2 problems I have are :
1/ I have not been able to find a reliable player (I use ACDsee, but sometimes it works, sometimes not)
2/ I don't have a Joiner software. And honestly, filing and using all these thin slices of movies is, to say the least, not at all practical.

So, could somebody be kind enough to tell where to find a(free) player and a Joiner for mp4 ?

Then I'll report a problem in the PartTime3.WMV.002 file.
After 42 MB the download stops with an error. I tried both direct download and Rapget with same result.
It could be the same problem Janus has??

I am sorry to admit my error!!
It is NOT Quicktime, but RealPlayer I have. ;^(
I download the files at my work and rework them at home, thats why I didn't know which player I use.
I have downoaded the Quicktime now, and it works.
Now I only have to find something to join/merge the parts with. Any help here??

some people are getting file 2 as only 40mb and others are getting the full file. If rapidshare does not get it sorted out, I will re-upload the files.

But we forgot to mention, that although we did try making screencpas a few times, it is one of those movies to whom the screencaps do not do justice and do not really give a real picture for the movie.

About previews, what happens is that when anybody is within a few hundred files, then where the previews are, it dont matter.

But when the number of videos in an account start growing, then the person needs the preview right next to the movie in the account to be able to relocate it in the future. We think that is the reason Hrvinky\'s previews are on rapidshare as well. If he wouldnt do that, then he would be in a mess, jumping around one page to the other trying to locate what he wants to post.

Sorry for answering for you Hrvinky. :-P

Sorry for the delay! Did tell you the reason yesterday. Lost records and all is a mess. :-(

Did upload a series that has 6-7 movies, dont remember if it is the TALES series or the other one now and dont have record. It is the one for which the video quality was discussed a few days ago and we said we had fresh DVDRips.

PART TIME and the other one is already being posted by Master Bates, so it is already coming up.

We will soon post this one series that is up and plus some other good stuff. Rosalynn has been ripping DVDs recently and Maya has been trying to figure out what is what and remake an index.

LOL it is sometimes so funny looking when we talk about both of us and hav to write in the third person! :-P
